If she has dual citizenship, I would not think it would be a problem.
In general, if you go to www.travel.state.govÂ and enter your destination Country name, it will list Passport requirements to enter a country. Â For CR it says “Passport must be valid for length of stay.” Â (Mexico says for 6 months, Panama says for 3 months – it varies by country.) Â Thus for non-citizens, CR could limit the Visa duration to the time remaining on the Passport.
