Are there any regular get togethers in Tamarindo to meet people?

We are new in town and we’d like to meet some new friends 🙂

My wife and I moved to Tamarindo 2 years ago with the same question and have concluded that the answer is “no”.  There have been a couple of attempts to get some expats together but they did not last.  You pretty much just meet people thru your daily life.  You can attend some fundraisers and meet other expats; and some expats play bingo at Dona Lees (2nd Tuesday of month at 7 pm?).

Yes, Dona Lees has Bingo the second Tuesday of every month at 7pm (but it might be closed for rainy season). Also, there is a Surfrider Fundraiser this Friday the 24th of July at Langosta Beach Club. Also, there is a networking night once a month at a restaurant called Latitude Blue.
A couple local places to hang out and meet people are:

  1. Langosta Sports Bar
  2. Noguis for Breakfast or Sunset (4:30 to 5:30 happy hour)
  3. Saturday Markets are nice to walk around and meet the local vendors
  4. Vaquero is good for sunset though its mostly surfers and younger people it is fun to sit and hear stories and meet people around the picnic tables.

Hope that helps! 🙂
